Oga I don late fa.....

The other day, I was in a public transport bus heading to the market. Ogbete a popular market in Enugu. it was mini bus mostly called shuttle by some. The streets of Enugu was busy as usual. From Ogui junction heading down towards New layout, The mini bus which usually contains a total of seven passengers one in the front not including the driver. And three at the two back rows had me at the front(of course I didn't escape the popular Nigerian syndrome sitting of the front seat of buses... and I guess you know why😁)

And two persons at the row before the last row. One was a woman she had on the CWO (christian women organization) uniform. let's call her Mrs E. The other was a man around his mid fifties. let's call him Mr B.

That made a total of three so the bus still needed four more passengers to be completed.

The driver rode and stopped at the junction where he'd pick more passengers. But the two persons at the back became impatient.

"Oga why you dey waste time na... I don late fa" the dark skinned man around mid fifties queried

"make I find passengers na... you know say fuel don cost I no fit drive empty dey go" the driver fired

I sat quietly in front. Knowing what Mr B would be feeling because I have been in that position countless times but just not today.

few minutes later, it looked like no passenger was forth coming. Mr B complained again but this time, he couldn't hold his patience anymore. He jumped out of the bus in anger. And went in search for another bus.

sitting in that front seat and having observed all that transpired, I thought to myself

"Now who's at fault?

The driver searching for his daily bread regardless of the risk of late he's putting his passengers in or the man who's at risk of going late probably to an appointment that might mean a lot.

Have you ever been in this situation before?

what lead to it and who's fault for you think it was...

yours or the driver?
