saturday morning Recipe (fresh homemade pancakes)



Its food time……

And you know…food time is fun time

Freshly homemade pancakes




Apart from taking pancakes as snacks, it is a very balanced meal to have as breakfast……as it is a mixture of proteins from the eggs, carbohydrates from the flour and fats and oil from the vegetable oil and butter.

 

Ingredients

ü  1 cup (150 kg) plain flour

ü  2 medium eggs

ü  ½ cup of evaporated milk or three spoons of powdered milk

ü  ½ teaspoon of salt

ü  1 cup of water

ü  Six teaspoons of sugar

ü  Vegetable oil

Things like chili pepper and other veggies (like onion) can be added if you like (just to give it taste)

 

Directions

ü  If you do not have margarine or butter, then pour your vegetable oil in a bowl…. but in the case of butter or margarine, melt first in a microwave (with a small bowl)

ü  Break the two eggs into the mixture in the bowl and beat till smooth, then add ½ cup of water

ü  Add the flour and mix it well till there are no lumps

ü  Add the milk, salt, sugar and the remaining ½ cup of water and stir well and continuously to give it that smooth texture

ü  Then set a frying pan over medium heat and add few drops of vegetable oil just to lubricate the frying pan

ü  After three to four seconds, pour some mixture of pancake into the frying pan

ü  Fry for approximately 1 minute…. check the sides to see if its brown to your liking…. preferable light brown

ü  Your pancake is ready when both sides is light brown.

For breakfast, you can eat with custard, pap or oats meal (me I prefer custard sha 😋😋😊)
