Renewal of the mind Part 2: Block out the noise

If you have become used to a thought, a habit, a myth, a stereotype that you should get rid of stop what you're doing and get rid of it.

It wouldn't be easy but it's very necessary.

You've got to say to yourself, "I am better than this"

Romans 12 vs 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what is that good and acceptable perfect will of God".

Be careful what you get used to. Be careful what you listen too. Knowingly or unknowingly, the kind of words you feed yourself with will either make or mar you.

There's so much noise in this world and if we're not mindful, we'll drown in the sea of negativity while gasping for air. In the pursuit of purpose, we have to learn to practice the act of blocking out the noise by the daily renewal of our minds with  God's word.

Yes this may be what the world feels about it. This may be what others think it is or what they say about you. 

But, What does God's word say about you?

what does God's word say about that situation? 

If we're re not careful about what we allow ourself get used to, we can be accustomed to negative things. Things God our father never wanted for us. Things like pain, abuse, depression, frustration etc.

You don't have to try to win people over or gain validation. You don't have to try to spend your life trying to change someone's mind who may never change. The real victory comes when you change your own mind.

The power of choice is a great power. Be careful that you do not give that power away to anyone. It is your right to choose how you want to live.

Do not stop to throw stones at every dog that barks. Remember the blind man of Luke 18:35-39 who kept shouting"Son of David, have mercy on me" . Imagine if he had listened to the noises when he was asked to keep quiet. How would he have regained his sight. But he kept on calling out to Jesus untill he was heard and sent for.

We need to be  people of strong will and not strong wonts. Big shots are only little shots that keeps shooting and being persistent is enjoying the distance between the birth and fulfillment of your dream.

Keep pushing your dreams, vision, business and no matter how little progress, no matter the voices, don't settle for less. 

You are a voice to be heard. By God's Rich Grace, you have the power to see a miracle. Don't forfeit it or forsake it. You can change your situation whenever you're ready.
