READY, AIM, FIRE!!
“READY, AIM, FIRE!”
It simply means, get ready the best you can in as
short a time as possible;
take action; then correct along the way.
The whole idea is to get in the game with whatever
you’ve got, from wherever you are.
If you really want to learn a business or a skill, get into it.
You don’t have to own it from day one.
You’ll learn more by practicing and making mistakes
than from months of tutorials and learning.
This is by far the best way to become master at what you do:
1. Because you see how things work from the inside.
2. You get to make the contacts and connections you need.
Something you’d have never done if you
kept viewing it from the outside.
3. Once you’re in, many other opportunities will
be opened to you and when you witness what’s going on,
you’ll discover a niche for yourself that you
didn’t recognize before.
4. You may discover that you really don’t like
this field and thank Goodness
you found out before you got in too deep.
Get into it, even if it means getting in the corridor.
You never know what doors will open to you.
Actions always beat inaction.
Once you get in the game,
you can make intelligent decisions in the present moment,
make corrections and adjust your sails along the way.
So here are the actions to Practice this week:
1. Think about a project you’ve always wanted to start
or a skill you want to learn.
Begin now with whatever you have. Practice optimism.
Starting today, whatever anyone
says is a problem or obstacle, see it as an opportunity.
2. Give no room for negativity. Focus on what you have,
not on what you don’t have.
3. Make a list of ten things you’re grateful for in your life
and read it aloud every
morning when you wake up and every
night before you sleep.
This will keep you on track and help you
focus on your strengths, not your weaknesses
